The Schools
In Auckland you will find the oldest language school in the country. Ideally situation in several historic buildings on the edge of Albert Park just across from the University, and only 4 minutes walk to the centre of town.
The school in Christchurch is also very centrally located, but close to the beach and a range of sporting facilities.
Course Content
All levels are offered for a minimum of 2 weeks. Students are able to access all teaching material and equipment. At the end of their course students will receive a certificate. There is also the possibility of sitting different exams such as CAMBRIDGE: Preliminary English Test, First Certificate in English, Certificate of Proficiency in English, Certificate in English for International Business and Trade.
Students who wish to enrol must do so before March for the exams in June, and before September for the exams in December.
Preparation courses for TOEFL and IELTS are also available.
Students
Aged a minimum of 17 come from the world over. The schools take care of students in finding accommodation, visas, extra study and any problems that they may have while there. Different activities are offered each week (sports, travel, cultural experiences)
Host Families
The best way of making direct contact with New Zealanders is to live with them. Included in the accommodation package is the breakfast and evening meal during the week and then full board during the weekend. You will have your own room and will also feel a part of the family. The host families live near the different schools. Motel or apartment accommodation options are also available and can be arranged by the schools.
